Just a little help from my friends

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine started volunteering with Snohomish County Domestic Violence Services. That holiday season she wanted to make sure that every woman and child staying at the shelter received the gift of a handmade blanket. She put out the call and blankets started rolling in ... one from me.

Then last year, we worked on this again. And I think I did two of them.

This year, I was a little better prepared. I started buying fabric in January! I ended up with enough fabric for 10 blankets, but was running out of time to get them done. So off to my quilting group me and that pile of fleece went.

And within an hour 10 blankets were done ... and we had a great time doing it! All will be delivered to the DVS today or tomorrow. And 10 people will know that someone wanted to wrap them in warmth during a very difficult time!
